Yvonne Sorrells Pope, a lifelong resident of Greenville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 80.

She was best known for serving her famous chicken salad, milkshakes and other customer favorites as owner of the Dairy Dream.  She enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry O'Neal Sorrells and Eva Crowe Sorrells; her husband, Cecil Pope; and brother, Don Sorrells.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam King and her husband, Scotty of Excel, Alabama, and Tammy Neese of Greenville, Alabama.  Six grandchildren, Chase (Melody) Bradley of Monroeville, AL; Kayla Stephens of Atmore, AL; Whitney (John) Jinright of Greenville, AL; Jessica (Brandon) Hall of Atmore, AL; Nick (Molly) King of Excel, AL; and Nicole Jordan of Fairhope, AL; along with 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. from Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville, with Brother Billy Hodges officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.
