Our sweet mother and granny went to heaven on March 8, 2015. She was born November 11, 1923 in Industry, AL. She was a loving person. She loved her family, her friends, her church, traveling with "the bus from Brundidge", Auburn Football, and had a zest for life. She will be missed by so many. She graduated from McKenzie High School in 1941 and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) with a BS degree in Medical Technology in 1944. In 1947, she married the late Benjamin Pershing Autrey. She was employed at L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital from 1945-1992 and was the Lab Director when she retired.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to the Bereavement Committee at First Baptist Church of Greenville, 212 Fort Dale Road, Greenville, AL 36037 or Comfort Care Hospice, 23 Jameson Lane, Greenville, AL 36037.
