Mrs. Willie Bernie Pettie, 92, resident of Columbus, GA, died in Columbus, GA on Thursday, March 31, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April, 3, 2011 at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Crawford and Rev. William Ernest officiating. Burial will follow in McWilliams Cemetery. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until funeral time. Mrs. Pettie was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Dewitt Clem Pettie and 2 sisters Joel Mason Tillman and Oleta Mason McClurkin. She is survived by her daughter Ellen Pettie (Bryan) Sargent of Columbus, GA, grandsons Christopher Henry Sargent of Columbus, GA and Bryan Frederick Sargent of Mt. Pleasant, SC, great granddaughters: Helayna Brown Sargent and Suzanna Byran Sargent of Mt. Pleasant, SC and nephew William Ellis McClurkin.
