William V. "Buddy" Turner, age 81, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Prattville, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with Brother Larry Gaston officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time.

He was a beloved husband, father, son and papaw.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Turner; his parents, Ross Turner, Jr. and Mary Francis Turner; brother, Sherrell Turner; sisters, Elaine Reeves and Linda Knotts; sons, Richard VanCor, Jr. and Albert Scott VanCor; daughter, Trey Christian Turner.

He is survived by his brother, Lauvone "Billy" Turner; sons, Ray A. VanCor and William Patrick VanCor; daughter, Danna Michael VanCor; son, Clay Colburn Turner; daughter, Brooke Turner Haney.  He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who will forever treasure his love, guidance and laughter.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his strong faith, hard work and devotion to his family and friends.
