William Frank Singleton Jr., a resident of Greenville, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the age of 69.
Services will be held at Dunklin Funeral Home in Greenville, Alabama, on Monday, March 23, 2026. Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Myrtlewood Cemetery in Fort Deposit, Alabama. Rev. Jamie Barkley will officiate.
Bubba, as he was affectionately known, served in the 232nd Combat Communications Squadron of the Air National Guard. Several years later, he received a field engineer degree from the Control Data Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduation, he moved to Montgomery, where he worked for Unisys Corporation until he decided to go into the poultry business in Fort Deposit, Alabama. While living in Fort Deposit, he attended Fort Deposit Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee. After retirement, he later took on his best and most important job as Granddad, where he shared his love of the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and playing pool with his two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Frank (Pete) and Virginia Williamson Singleton; son, William Perry Singleton; and brother-in-law, Cody Frank Noble.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lisa Golson Singleton; daughter, Brittany Singleton (Phillip) Weaver of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandsons, Phillip Glyn Weaver, III (Tripp) and Samuel Perry Weaver; sister, Ginger Singleton Noble of Lapine; brother, Dan Robert (Angie) Singleton of Lapine; aunt, Joyce Williamson Loftin of Montgomery; brother-in-law, Jack Parmer (Kim) Golson of Montgomery; sister-in-law, Carla Golson (Lee) St. Peter of Destin, FL; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Alexander, Dustin Bowen, Sonny Julian, Larry Langford, Matt Singleton, and Andrew Wiggins.
His family would like to thank Hospice of West Alabama and HomeRN Tuscaloosa for their exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fort Deposit Methodist Church Building Fund to continue the preservation of the church.
