William Harvey Myrick, Jr., 80, of Greenville, Alabama, passed away on November 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harvey Myrick, Sr. and Delia "Buck" Myrick, and his wife, Christine Myrick.
He is survived by his children, stepchildren and grandchildren, Michelle Myrick, Michael Myrick (Leslie, Katherine, Mary Elizabeth, and William), Nicki Myrick McFerrin (Edward and Mary Hannah), Debbie Nichols (Jeff), Rachel Leonard (Mike, Heather, and April) and Grant Matthews. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Myrick Tidwell (William), and special friend Rose DeBardelaben.
Harvey grew up and lived in the Liberty Community his entire life. He loved coaching baseball in the Dixie Youth league and did so for many years. In 2006, after working for the City of Greenville for 26 years, he retired. Even after he retired, there was never a shortage of entertaining stories from his days of working with Curtis, Lowell, Mary, Jimmy, and the city crew. Harvey was a skilled craftsman and woodworker who could build anything. He loved his family, his dog, Buddy, and Alabama football.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with graveside immediately following. Friends are invited to stay after the graveside and join the family for a time of fellowship and remembrance of Harvey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church or City of Greenville Parks and Rec Youth Sports.
