Wayland Jackson Smith, 91, of Camden, Alabama, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, beginning at 1:00 p.m. from Greenwood Cemetery in Camden, Alabama with Rev. Keith Gambill and Rita Smith officiating with Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

Wayland is preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. Smith and Stella Myrick Smith; son, Robert W. Smith. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Mary Nell Bailey Smith; son, James David (Rita) Smith; granddaughters, Candice (Jack) Caylor, Ilona Smith; grandson, Travis Jackson Smith; great granddaughter, Matison Nell Murphy. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the charity of choice.
