Strickland, Voncile J., 86, a resident of Burkville, AL died at her home Thursday, October 20, 2016. The funeral service will be Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Brother Al Finch and Brother Andy Hepburn will be officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home will be directing. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, AL. Visitation will be Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.

Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Strickland; daughter, Winnie S Loftin; son-in-law, Gilbert E. Loftin, Sr.; granddaughter, Sharon K. McGough and grandson, Gilbert E. Loftin, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Cates (Jack) of Lowndesboro, AL; grandchildren, Teri L. Spivey (Ray) of Deatsville, AL, Elizabeth C. Smith (Darrell) of Montgomery, AL and Joseph E. Cates of Northfield, VT; great-grandchildren, Neal McGough of Honoraville, AL, Belinda Jane Smith of Montgomery, AL, Jordan Spivey of Deatsville, AL and Darrell Smith, Jr. of Montgomery, AL; sisters, Marie Ingram of Selma, AL, Betty Lou Cook of Auburn, AL and Thera McBride of Dothan, AL and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
