Obituary

Virginia Wilson Perdue was born November 16, 1945, to "Bob" and Pearlie Wilson. She had a brother Billy and a sister Vivian. She was raised in Bethel Methodist Church in a time when you went to church every time the doors were open. She graduated from Lowndes County High School in 1963. She went to work for the State of Alabama right after graduation. She married the love of her life, Steve Perdue on June 27, 1964. She was an amazing mama to her two children, Stevie and Robin. Her home was not just the house she lived in but DHR, where she worked; Greenville Academy, where her kids grew up; Bethel Methodist Church, where she taught children to love God; and the Spring Creek Community. While her last years were different, she was always so positive and happy. God blessed her on March 23, 2025, by allowing her to pass away peacefully in her sleep at home.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, William "Steve" Perdue; her father and mother, Robert "Bob" Wilson and Pearlie Heartsill Wilson; her brother William "Billy" Wilson; her in laws Louis and Rosalie Perdue; her brother in laws, Rippie Slaughter and Joseph Senn; sister in laws, Annice "Sunny" Senn and Peggy Bush.

She is survived by her son, William "Stevie" Perdue; her daughter and son in law, Robin Perdue Sellers and Brian Sellers; her grandchildren, Morgan Perdue, Andrew Sellers, and Callie Sellers; her sister, Vivian Wilson Slaughter; along with many nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and family.
