Mills, Verla Mae Braden, 83, a resident of Greenville died on Feb. 19. A graveside service will be Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at Antioch West Baptist Church Cemetery with Watson Wasden and Dustin Harris officiating. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Mills, known as "Memaw" to many, was preceded in death by: her sons, Robert Lyn Mills and Hiram Eugene Mills; grandsons, Stephen Kyle Nelson and Jason Shannon Nelson.
Mrs. Mills is survived by: her children, Tracy L. Mills (Marilyn) of Greenville, Anita Rice (Chuck) of Montgomery, Jennifer Taylor (Rick) of Florala, and Clyde F. Mills of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Antioch West Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Cornelia Boswell, 7357 Mobile Road, Greenville, AL 36037 (checks need to be made payable to Antioch West Cemetery Fund) or the charity of your choice.
