Timothy Heyward Steen, a resident of Pine Apple, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on September 5, 2025, at the age of 73.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Moriah Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Ralph Gunter officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Oliver Steen, Sr., and Caroline Taylor Steen; brother, Wiley Oliver Steen, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Chapman Steen; brother, Robert Donald Steen and wife, Sheila Dailey Steen; sister-in-law, Edna Belle Stallworth Steen; beloved stepson, William Holcombe Chapman and wife, Lauren Champion Chapman; beloved stepdaughter, Stephanie Chapman Hines and husband, Hunter Slade Hines; grandchildren, Slade, Carson, Lawson, Allie, Rowen, and Sullivan; nieces and nephews, Scott, Rob, Laura, Jeffery and Kallen.

Tim was a 1969 graduate of Moore Academy in Pine Apple, Alabama.  Tim loved living in Pine Apple where he owned and operated Pine Apple Grocery and served on the Pine Apple Town Council for several years. Tim worked many years for Mcleod Trucking Company, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Apple.

Tim was a true outdoorsman.  He loved nature, fishing and being outside.  He truly loved his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
