Terry Austin Taylor

Terry Austin Taylor, age 80 and resident of Camden, Alabama passed away July 3, 2026 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born March 30, 1946 in Mississippi to John Alvin and Honore Faye Taylor. He was a retired towboat captain and avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife Patricia King Taylor and children Jennifer Taylor Decker (Dennis) and Thatcher Hamilton Taylor as well as four cherished grandchildren; Maddox Raycile Decker, Lochlyn Denise Decker, Thatcher Andrew Decker and Tully Herring Taylor. He also leaves a brother Tim Taylor (Martha), sister Darlu Taylor and sister-in-law Sara Lott (John) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Dewey King and sister-in-law Regina King.

Visitation will be Friday evening, July 10, 2026 at Dunklin Funeral Home in Camden 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026 at 11:00 am at Canton Bend Methodist Church with Reverend John Lott and Reverend Braxton Eldridge officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ian Lott, Hagyn Lott, Chris Jones, Josh Kesling, Jason Smith and Collin Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Wayne Glass, Charles Alex (Bull) Jones and Brandon Lovelady.
