Shirley Mae Atwell, age 73, a resident of Greenville, passed away on December 4, 2022.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. from Antioch East Baptist Church with Brother Blair McBride and Brother Ronnie Boulware officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Antioch East Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alabama Children's Home & Family Ministries, 325 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Shirley was preceded in death by parents, Billy Martin Mosley and Willie Mae Tillery, and husband, Burl Dean Atwell, Sr., an infant brother, and grandsons, JC Howell and Daughton Quates.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Quates (Jimmy), Barbara Howell, Angela Von Braden (Tate); son, William Doyle Pierce (Christie Jones), all of Greenville, Alabama; brothers, Farris Mosley (Deborah) of Dothan, Alabama, Mike Mosley (Deborah), Terry Mosley, all from Greenville, along with fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Shirley led a life dedicated to the Lord, her children and extended family. She also served her community with her nursing career and Sunday School teaching. She was loved by all that knew her and will be remembered by all for her caring and giving heart.
