Mr. Sam Searcy, age 87, a native of Greenville, AL. and a resident of Orange Beach, AL. passed away on November 25, 2015 at his daughter's home.
He was a Navy veteran and retired from Brown & Root Construction with many years worked at Ciba-Geigy in McIntosh, AL.
Sam is survived by his daughter, Ann (Charles) Morrison; sister, Nancy (Roland) Srofe; brother-in-law, Walter Autrey; special friend, Mrs. Evelyn Pride; cousins, nieces, nephews, numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia E. Searcy; parents, George R. Searcy, Merle Thompson and Regger Thompson and sister, E. Jane Autrey.
Sam was an avid fisherman who never met a stranger and always had a great story to tell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville, AL with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2190 Old Central Road , Greenville, AL. 36037.
