Roy Wilson Bush, Sr. age 90 of Minter, Alabama died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1923 to Lelia Alma Dunnam Bush and George Berry Bush of Minter, AL. He was a member of the Farmersville United Methodist Church. Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty Jean Crook Bush, his parents and brother, Robert Neil Bush. He is survived by his sister, Frances Bush Rittenour, two children, Jeannie Bush Hollinger (Leo) of Camden, AL and Roy Wilson Bush, Jr. (Ann) of Minter, AL. Two grandchildren, Leo Bryant Hollinger, III (Amanda) and Rebecca Frances Hollinger Cook (Crum) both of Camden, four step grandchildren, David Locksley Thompson (Beth), Benjamin Buzbee Thompson (Jamie), Franklin Tait Thompson and Meredith Muse Thompson Wilkins (Cody), three great grandchildren, Mary Forrest Bell, Leo Bryant Hollinger, IV, and Callie Adams Hollinger, three step great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine Thompson and Isaac Cody Wilkins. Mr. Bush was retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Company. Pallbearers will be Charles Casey, Bryant Hollinger, Bruce Owens, Doug Smith, Lyle Smith, III and Don Aldred. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carlowville Baptist Church with Reverend David Mullins and Reverend Charles Crimm officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing.
