Bender, Roy Calhoun, 72, a resident of Greenville, died Monday, May 18, 2015. Funeral services will be Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Walnut Street Church of Christ with Minister Jack Cates and Minister Charles Box officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. A second visitation will be at Walnut Street Church of Christ one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Bender was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Bender; son: John Lowe; parents: Addie Lee and Lucy Bender; sister: Elizabeth Parsons; brothers: Edward Lee Bender and Clarence Ellis Bender.
Mr. Bender is survived by his children: Beth Bender Fox (Joe) of Christiana, TN, Pam Holp (Tim) of Greenville, AL, Susie McIntyre (Thorn) of Greenville, AL, and Betty Stabler (Chris) of Fort Deposit, AL; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother: Doyle Bender of Greenville, AL; sister: Mary Frances Quates of Greenville, AL; many nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver Marilyn Peagler.
