Born on January 31, 1932 in Dundee Township, Michigan and deceased on October 3, 2021 at Crowne Health Care in Greenville, Alabama. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Edward Monk and Vera Belle Soper Monk; brothers, Leo, Al and Art; sister, Ida; children, Marshall Monk and Mary Monk Resseguie. Robert is survived by his wife, Joyce Sullivan Monk; sons, Mark (Mary) Monk and Marlin Monk; daughters, Marla Monk (Jim) Benefield and Marva Monk. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Dunklin Funeral Home is handling preparation of Mr. Monk. Mr. Monk will be laid to rest next to his children at Maple Grove Cemetery in Free Soil, Michigan. A graveside service will be held with close family and friends.
