September 20, 1934 – February 22, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Robert McCann, Jr. and Mildred Hilliard McCann.  Mildred passed away on Saturday night, February 22, 2025, and Robert passed away the next afternoon, Sunday, February 23, 2025.  They were each other's constant companions.  They were married for over 69 years.  They are survived by two sons, Steve McCann and Kenny McCann. They were blessed with three grandsons, Zac, Jon and Sam McCann; and two great grandsons, Wyatt and Luke.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Robert McCann; mother, Lucille McCann Salter; stepfather, Hugh Y. Salter; brother, Hubert T. "Billy" McCann; brothers-in-law, Carl Sessions and Carlo Spitaleri; sister-in-law, Gerda "Susi" McCann; nephew, Michael Terry McCann. Robert is survived by brother, Melton McCann; sister, Kathy Spitaleri Cruise (William).

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simpson Hilliard, and nephew, Stanley Sessions. Mildred is survived by her sister, Evelyn Hilliard Sessions Lewis. They are both survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was a US Army Veteran.  He was over the years a self-made businessman and owned and operated several businesses in Greenville.  Mildred was involved in the businesses and also worked as an LPN for many years.

They will be missed, and we are so thankful for the good care they received from many people during their illness.  They are healed, made whole, and together forever.  We will cherish the good memories always.

The family will hold a private service with close family in attendance.
