Boutwell, Mr. Ralph, age 92, a resident of Greenville, AL died on Monday, May 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Greenville with Rev. Dr. Dean Moore and Rev. Robert Cruikshank officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Mr. Boutwell is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ida Boutwell, daughters, Sandra (Stan) Owens of Luverne, AL, Sharon Catrino of Destin, FL, Patricia (Jim) Farmer of Dothan, AL, grandchildren, Rhett Owens, Geoffrey Owens, Sherrie Jordan, John Catrino, Michael Catrino, Kate Farmer, Brigman Farmer, Alex Farmer, nine great-grandchildren, six nieces and nephews.
Mr. Boutwell was a Steward, past officer of the Finance Committee, Superintendent of Education, and member of the Wesleyan Sunday School class of the First United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the U.S. Army. He was a member and past president of the Kiwanis. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Greenville, AL. He was a member at Eureka Masonic Lodge in Greenville, AL for over 50 years. Mr. Boutwell was named Man of the Year of the Alabama Cable Vision Association of which he was also a member of.
