Conway, Phillip L., 79, a resident of Greenville, AL died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. A graveside service will take place Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Gravel Hill Cemetery with The Reverend Father Reid McCormick officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mr. Conway was preceded by his parents: William and Adell Conway; sister: Mary McLain; and brothers: Allen Conway and Robert Conway. Mr. Conway is survived by his loving wife: Marjorie A. Conway of Greenville, AL; daughters: Michelle Ann Marker of Tigard, OR, Patricia Diane Walton (Matt) of Tigard, OR and Lisa Dawn Voisin (Jessie) of Sumter, SC; sons: John Kevin Conway of Greenville, AL, Phillip Christopher Conway (Carole) of Crestview, CA and William Michael Conway (Chris) of Elk Grove, CA; grandchildren: Ashleigh Conway, Adam Conway, Sarah Ball, Lindsay Littlejohn, Justine Roth, Kelsey Voisin and Hannah Voisin; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and Marley, his cherished companion.
After graduating from Greenville High School in 1953, Mr. Conway served in the United States Air Force for 24 years and retired as a Senior Master Sargent.
