Peggy Boggan Jones, age 69, a resident of Mulberry, Florida, passed peacefully into her eternal home surrounded by the love of her family.
Peggy grew up in Greenville and was a graduate of Greenville High School in 1974. She met and married Charlie, the love of her life. She supported Charlie throughout his military career in the United States Coast Guard. They lived and traveled to numerous different states and countries along with their children. Peggy’s greatest joy came from serving her Jesus. She never met a stranger and always helped anyone in need at any time. To know Peggy was to love her.
Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Boggan; her father, James E. Boggan; sister, Faye Boggan Stringfellow; nephew, Kenneth Stringfellow; and father-in-law, Robert Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Jones, Sr.; her daughter, Alisha Faye Jones (Marcell Johnson) of Stuart, FL, her son, Charles E. Jones, Jr. (Lauren Sullivan) of Tampa, FL, brother, James Boggan (Janis Boggan) of Greenville, mother-in-law, Lois Jones Tate of Evansville, IN, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, beginning at 12:00 in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Vaughn officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time.
The family requests no flowers, but to donate to the church where she started her family and married the love of her life. Donations may be sent to First Assembly of God, P. O. Box 501, Greenville, Alabama 36037.
