Mrs. Pearl Hill Horn, age 94, of Greenville, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Hill; mother, Mattie Mae Rayburn Hill; stepmother, Rosa Jones Hill; husband, R.E. Horn; granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Tinney; brothers, Calvin Joseph Hill, Hillary Horace Hill (Buddy), John W. Hill (Willie), Ronnie Hill, Charlie Hugh Hill; sisters, Merle Hill Skipper Welch, Annette Hill Hughes.

Mrs. Pearl is survived by her children, Kenny (Peggy) Horn, Kathy Horn Tinney (the late Jim Tinney), and Tim (Juanita) Horn; 7 grandchildren; Shea Simmons, Brad Horn, Abby Tinney, Kacey Tinney, Luke Horn, Karie Horn Mosley, and Cody Horn; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Hill, and as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pearl worked at Boss Glove Factory for 25 years until 1976, when she quit her job to pursue her life long dream of nursing. She earned her LPN degree from Reid State in Evergreen and worked a few years at Stabler's Hospital in Greenville, Alabama. She then enrolled at Troy State University, Montgomery Campus as a full time RN Student. With much prayer and hard work, Mrs. Pearl earned her RN Degree along with her Bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked for many years at Baptist South Hospital, 3rd Floor South, Montgomery, Alabama. She served as charged nurse for a few years and retired at the age of 65. Mrs. Pearl was also a faithful member of Greenville Eastern Star Chapter, were she traveled all over the state to visit other chapters. Mrs. Pearl greatest hobby was traveling all over the world and reading. She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church, until her health began to fade.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Pearl will be held at Dunklin Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Herbert Brown, Mrs. Pearl's pastor for 30 years, will be officiating this home-going service. A graveside service will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park, Greenville, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Brad Horn, Luke Horn, Cody Horn, Mark Simmons, Tanner Simmons, Carson Simmons, Anthony Hughes, and Daniel Hughes.
