Miss Oneida Moore Sherling died Thursday evening, September 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday Sept. 8, 2012 at Dunklin Daniels funeral home with Rev. Dean Moore officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Private graveside services will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Miss Sherling graduated from Fort Dale Academy and attended Troy University. She was a lifelong resident of Greenville and was employed for many years in the insurance industry in Montgomery.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Oneida (Hans) Poulsen, brother, Daniel M. (Deedy) Sherling of Birmingham, John K. (April) Sherling of Greenville, David R. Sherling of Greenville. Niece, Lanie Sherling, Nephews, Daniel, Lee, Russell, William and Samuel Sherling. Step sisters, Tina (Jim) Cox and sons Ware and John of Selma, Mary (Steve) Cole and daughter Logan of Selma, Elizabeth (Gordan) Gilbreath and daughter Sidney and son Johnathan of Nashville.
Miss Sherling is preceded in death by her father John K. Sherling Sr. of Greenville.
