Nelson Wayne Schofield, age 70, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Funeral  services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Rickey Crysell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

Born December 24, 1950, in Grand Rapids, MI, he was the son of the late Zack Nelson Schofield and Annie Mae Myrick Schofield.

He is survived by his sons, Tony Schofield (Joyce) of Missouri and Zack Leroy Schofield (April Gillham) of Anderson; daughters, Susan Smith (Walter) of Starr, Debra Evans of Anderson, and Tonya Schofield of Anderson; brother, Jim Schofield of Greenville, AL; sisters, Barbara Taylor of Iva, Mott Jackson of Anderson, and Bonnie Andrews (Ralph) of Anderson; friend, Cheryl Gosnell of Antreville; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and his dog Fefe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Rebel Schofield; sister, Linda Smith; and friend, Edmond Mayes.
