Mrs. Nellie Ree Roper, 81, a resident of Lafayette, LA and a former resident of Greenville, AL, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be at Antioch East Baptist Church on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ronnie Boulware officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Antioch East Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Thomas Manning Roper and son, Thomas Dale Roper.
Mrs. Roper is survived by her daughter: Mary Lynn Esparza (Ray) of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Robert Esparza (Dani) of Titusville, FL and Michael Esparza (Terry Jo) of Phoenix, AZ; her daughter: Bonnie Sue Tomlin (Richard) of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren: Adam and Brittney Tomlin of Lafayette, LA; daughter-in-law: Kathy Roper of Belleville, IL; grandchildren: Rodney Roper (Angela) of IL and Thomas A. Roper of IN; great grandchildren: Brenna Schackley of VA, Robert Hanson of FL, Jordyn, Layton, Jenna, and Jalynn Roper of IL, Rebecca, Stephani, and Trevor Esparza of Titusville, FL; sister: Jeanette Thompson (Robert) of Greenville, AL; a number of nieces and nephews.
