Nellie (Nell) Cowart Davis, a lifelong resident of Greenville, Alabama, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 86.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Minister Charles Box officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Reford and Birdie Mae Cowart; brothers, Phillip Cowart and Arthur Reford Cowart, Jr.; sister, Bonnie Hutchison; and grandson, Michael Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald Davis; two children, Tammy (Daniel) Payne and Randy Davis; three grandchildren, Bradley (Georgia) Davis, Stephen Davis and Ashlyn Poitevint; two great grandchildren, Lilly Davis and Karlee Davis.

Nell was a longtime, faithful member of Walnut Street Church of Christ.  She was an employee at Stabler Clinic for over 35 years.

Pallbearers will be Lomax Owens, Darrell Powell, Mike Bagents, Walter Johnson, Adam Garlock and Ken Smith.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Georgiana Health and Rehabilitation, LLC and the nurses and staff of Southern Care Hospice for the excellent care and support they provided during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Walnut Street Church of Christ, Greenville, Alabama or Shriners Children's Hospital.
