Nannette Clark Handly, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the Camden Nursing Facility in Camden, Alabama. She was 88 years old.
Born in Mississippi on August 21, 1925 to Norma Lynn Clark and Grover Cleveland Clark, Nannette was the youngest of four girls. She moved to Camden with her family in 1945, and married James Dudly "J.D." Handly Jr. on September 1, 1946.
"J.D." and Nannette had two sons, Ronald Gene Handly, and Dudly Clark Handly.
Nannette was a homemaker who also enjoyed shopping, especially shopping for antiques. She was member of Camden Baptist Church, the Homemakers Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Ladies Circle.
Nannette was preceded in death by her parents, her three sisters, her husband "J.D." Handly, and by her second husband, James Albert "Jim" Tait.
She is survived by her two sons, Gene Handly, of Sardis, Alabama, and Dudly (Julia Ann) Handly of Camden, Alabama, two granddaughters, Amanda (Crawford) Henry, of Selma, Alabama, and Jerin Denise Handly of Mobile, Alabama, two step grandsons, Sam (Whitney) Mosley, of Leroy, Alabama, and Hank Mosley of Dothan, Alabama, one great-granddaughter, Handly Grace Henry of Selma, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the Camden City Cemetery in Camden, Alabama. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Camden, AL directing.
