Phelps, Myrtice Schofield, 90, a resident of Greenville, AL went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2016 after a brief illness. Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Sunrise Memorial Park with Brother Randy Naylor officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Myrtice was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Greenville. She was a former long-time member of Chisholm Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL where she was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for twenty-seven years.
Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Clara Lee Dobbs Schofield, her husband of sixty years, Herbert Phelps and grandsons, Christopher Phelps and Marcus Paul Harmon, great-granddaughter, Madison Jinright. She is survived by sons, Jim Phelps of Greenville, AL, Mark Phelps (Debbie) of Phoenix, AZ and David Phelps of Montgomery, AL; daughters, Charlotte Beasley (Keith) of Greenville, AL, Angie Brown (Trevitte) of Thorsby, AL; eight grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchidlren; great-great grandson, sister, Nell Gerlach of Prattville, AL and many other beloved family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bob Phelps, Josh Phelps, Jason Phelps, Carey Jinright, Wyatt Jinright, Jared Shipp, and Brian Parker.
