Mary Lelia Tapscott

Mary Lelia Stabler "Peachy" Tapscott, 86, a resident of Theodore, AL and a former resident of Greenville, AL and Albany, GA died on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Mary Tapscott was born on June 16, 1939. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was completely devoted to and deeply involved with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Creel Tapscott. She is survived by her children, Richard Tapscott, Creel Tapscott (Sandra) and Shannon Tapscott, her grandchildren, Zachary Taylor (Schuyler), Hunter (Anthony Fonte), Trey, Bianca, Emilie, Jackson, Damian, and Gabriel (Beth); and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Home, AL at 2:00 pm. Dunklin Funeral Home will be directing.
