Stacey, Mary Ellen, 90, a resident of Camden, AL passed away at her residence Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Mrs. Stacey was born on June 17, 1921 and was a native of Bursonville, AL for 68 years and a longtime resident of Monroe County, AL. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, Camden, AL with Rev. Bob Weber and Rev. Tommy Primm officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Stacey is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, David Lee Stacey; her parents, Willie J. and Stella Smith; and two sisters, Ollie McPherson and Inez Owens.
Survivors include three sisters, Verla Pongerayter, Willie Mae Campbell (Don) of Camden, AL; Jewel Flowers (Ernest) of Gulf Shores; two brothers, Woodrow Smith (Helen) of Saraland, AL and Wayland Smith (Mary Nell) of Camden, AL and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
