Mrs. Mary Scott "Scottie" Roper, age 83, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019, at Crowne Health Care. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with Brother Herbert Browndirecting and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Scottie is preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Ila Ruth Newton, and her sister and brother-in law, Alice Claire and Grady Petty. She is survived by her husband, Julian Wayne Roper; sister Sarah Lewis (Hollis); brother Bob Newton (Janelle), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
