Mary Jo Gamble, age 90, passed away February 18, 2023, at Camden Nursing Facility in Camden, Alabama. She was born September 17,1932 in Union, Alabama to Chester Levi Turner and Grace Carroll Turner.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21 at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Childersburg, Alabama with Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mack Turner; parents, Chester Levi and Grace Carroll Turner and her sister, Patsy Turner Bedgood.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Craig Gamble (Cynthia); two grandchildren, Dawn Gamble Dailey (James Thomas) and Trevor Craig Gamble; five great grandchildren, Marcie Dailey, Madi Dailey, Sawyer Gamble, Taylor Rayne Gamble and Emilyn Gamble and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jo, as she preferred to be called, enjoyed traveling, shopping and jewelry and often included her grandchildren, nieces and nephews in her excursions. She was also an avid Auburn Tiger fan where she insisted her son Craig attend college.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Wilcox Academy, 340 Ashley Street, Camden, Alabama 36726, where four of her great grandchildren attend school.
