Mary “Jennie” Disney

October 15, 1951 - February 15, 2026

Mary, known by many as Jennie passed away Sunday morning after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is preceded in death by her husband Earl J Disney, Jr. of Brundidge, AL, her daughter Melissa Disney-Smith of Greenville, AL, and her mother Pauline Pitt of Louisville, KY.

She leaves behind her son, Joe Disney (Rachael) and grandsons Tanner Disney and Corbin Disney of Georgiana and her granddaughter Savannah Disney-Smith of Greenville, brothers Jerry Carwile (Kathy), Albert Carwile, John Carwile and sister Anna Carwile all of Louisville, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the employees of the Georgiana Health and Rehabilitation for their continued care of her.

There will be a memorial held at a later date in Kentucky for family and friends.

Jennie was a strong hardworking Christian woman, that loved her family and she loved the Lord.

Rather than sending flowers or gifts, please take a moment to turn your heart toward God. If you have not yet asked Him into your life, we encourage you to do so. He is the source of comfort and peace in every season of loss.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
