Mary Amelia "Ame" Anderson, age 58, of Millbrook, Al passed away at Baptist South Medical Center on Thursday October 13 , 2021.
She is survived by her brother William Roderick Anderson, Jr. (Kathie); sisters Anne Anderson Lyon (Ike), Alesia Anderson McGraw (Edgar) and Melanie Anderson McDonald (Jim). She also leaves 10 nieces and nephews; Brent Anderson, Matt Anderson (Jessica), Molly Anderson Howard (Colin), Jacob Lyon (Erin), Philip Lyon (Dru), Samuel Lyon (Brooke), Hutson McGraw (Brooke), Ame McGraw, Ale McGraw and Anna Hunt (Keith) as well as 7 great nieces and nephews: Creel, Rosemary, Anderson, Joy, Shepherd, Anne Brookes and Emmy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. William R. and Mary Anne Anderson.
Ame was a standout basketball athlete at Wilcox Academy during Jr. and Sr. High School. She graduated from her beloved Auburn University and was a dedicated fan of Auburn Athletics. She later earned her Juris Doctorate and was a respected attorney for the Federal Court System Middle District under Hon. Judge Charles Coody. Ame was well known for her love of animals.
Funeral services will be held from Camden Baptist Church Sunday October 17 , 2021 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 and interment will follow at Camden City Cemetery. Pastor Justin Nelson, Sarah Henderson Moore and Honorable Judge Charles Coody will officiate with Dunklin Funeral Home Directing.
Pallbearers will be Brent Anderson, Matt Anderson, Jacob Lyon, Philip Lyon, Samuel Lyon, Hutson McGraw, Keith Hunt and Matt Millikin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wilcox Academy teammates.
