Obituary

Mr. Marvin Kyle Arnold, affectionately known to everyone as "Papa Kyle", age 59, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Greenville with Daniel Autrey, Bill Farrar and Nathan Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Kyle was born October 27, 1956, to James Henry Arnold and Geneva Pearson Arnold and grew up in Pine Hill where he graduated from Stokes Academy in 1974 as president of his class. Kyle worked in the logging industry for many years in Pine Hill and Forest Home, Alabama. He spent the last part of his career at Middleton Oil Company. Kyle generously donated much of his time to Fort Dale Academy and Old Time Farm Day. He loved cooking, was famous for his cheese straws, enjoyed life at the farm and his mules, May and Bill. Above all, Kyle was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Arnold; sister, Julie Marie Arnold; and infant son, James Edward Arnold. Kyle is survived by his wife, Sue Roberson Arnold; son, Jerod Kyle Arnold, Montgomery; daughters, Leslie Ann Arnold and Jennifer Grace Arnold, Greenville; grandchildren, Dustin Perry Bradford, Caleb Jerod Arnold Brown, Montgomery; MaKayla Tyriauna Arnold, Wetumpka; Sterling Hinton Arnold, Jackson Kyle Rutland, Preslie Julieann Rutland, Greenville; his mother, Geneva Arnold, Pine Hill; sisters, Patsy Arnold Dunagan (Jed), Pine Hill, and Lesha Arnold Monk (Bruce), Leroy; brother, Nathan Allen Arnold (Michele), Reidsville, NC; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Kyle was a loving person and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Ray Pearson, Joe Arnold, Michael Burt, Milton Luckie, David Burt, Chris Hollyhand, Tom Newton, Will Farrar, Bob Roberson and Chuck Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Middleton Oil Company and Ken Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kyle Arnold Memorial Education Fund, Community Neighbor Bank, P.O. Box 190, Greenville, AL 36037.
