Marie Evans Coley Davis McQueen, 85, passed away on September 7, 2015 at her home in Foley, Alabama. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Dr. Hughey Reynolds officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Marie McQueen was preceded in death by Robert Charles Coley, Richard Fort Davis, Floyd Edward McQueen, and her sons, Robert Charles "Bobby" Coley, Jr. and Fort Madison "Matt" Davis II. Marie is survived by her daughter, Sandra Coley Stamm (Rob) of Birmingham, AL, grand-daughter, Mary Missiniah Stamm Russo (Brian) of St. Augustine, FL, and brother, Robert Evans (Lanette) of Birmingham, AL. Marie attended Howard College and was a genealogist, having completed multiple courses at Samford University's Institute of Genealogical Research. She was the author of "There's No Wonder We Act the Way We Do", a book on Evans family history and other family history books. Marie loved the beach. After she and Edward McQueen married, they moved to Foley, enjoying life on the Bon Secour River as well as Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. They were instrumental in the rebirth of Morgan's Chapel United Methodist Church in Bon Secour. After Edward's death, Marie remained an active member until Alzheimer's entered her life. Pallbearers will be Rob Stamm, Brian Russo, Rick Frazier, and Robert "Butch" Evans.
