Vinson, Bobby Gray, LTC(R), a resident of Greenville, AL, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at L. V. Stabler Hospital. Col. Vinson was 87 years old. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and was the Senior-Junior ROTC instructor at Greenville High School from 1972 until his retirement.

Col. Vinson was preceded in death by his wife, Ellanette Lockhart Vinson.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Don Yancey officiating. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Col. Vinson is survived by his 2 daughters: Kathryn V. Duncan (Riley Clifford) of Midland, GA, Jane V. Fletcher (Alan) of Enterprise, AL, Son: David Gray Vinson (Wendy) of Greenville, AL,
6 grandchildren: Kathryn L. Thompson (Brandon), Caroline D. Rowell (Jonathan), Heather C. Davis (Britt), Michael Gray Cumbie, Harper P. Vinson, Gray McNeil Vinson, 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
