Mrs. Louise McGraw Rogers, 92 years of age, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2011.
Miss Louise, as she was affectionately called by the many children she taught in Sunday School and GA's is survived by her daughter, Alane Rogers Pate and son-in-love, Bill Pate, her son, John Perry Rogers, Jr. and daughter-in-love, Connie Chance Rogers; grandson, William Scott Pate (Tanya) and Great-granddaughter Elana Marie Pate. She is also survived by two sisters, Faye (Reginald) McDonald and Dot Turner; sisters-in-law Barbara McGraw, Ethel McGraw, Joella McGraw and Carolee Rogers; brother-in-law, Robert (Fayrene) Rogers; special niece encourager, Annie (Buford) Gavin.
Her husband, John Perry Rogers of 71 years, predeceases Miss Louise by six days. She is also predeceased by her parents, Lee and Henrietta McGraw; sisters, Jeanette Campbell and Ruby Rogers; brothers, Gene McGraw, Bill McGraw, Frank McGraw and Erskin McGraw; granddaughter, Karen Elizabeth Pate and great-grandson, Jonathon William Pate.
Miss Louise was a faithful member of Camden Baptist Church for 57 years where she taught children's Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. For many years she was a volunteer at the Camden Nursing Facility.
Funeral service will be at Camden Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 with Rev. Bob Weber officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Camden Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be her nephews: Frank McGraw, Edgar McGraw, Ronald McGraw, Tommy McGraw, Paul McGraw, Marcus McGraw, Kenneth McGraw and Ed Davis.
Memorials can be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Mission Offering in care of the Camden Baptist Church, Camden, AL.
