Lidie Dailey Rogers was the middle daughter of Clarence Cecil Rogers and Nellie Dailey Rogers. Lidie was preceded in death by two sisters: Evelyn Rogers Dunlap and Earnestine Rogers Dunnam.
Lidie is survived by one niece: Diane Dunlap (James) of Birmingham; three nephews: Roger Dunlap of South Carolina, John Dunnam Jr., Camden, Alabama and Cecil Wayne Dunnam, Camden, Alabama and three-great nephews, one great-great-nephew and two great-nieces and one great-great-niece.
The family will receive friends at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, 63 Camden Bypass, Camden, AL on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Camden, AL, with Rev. Mike Yancey officiating. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Camden directing.
Lidie was a lifetime member of Enon Baptist Church, where she taught the Women's class of Sunday school for several years. Lidie graduated from Moore Academy in Pine Apple and attended Massey-Draughon Business College in Montgomery, Alabama. Lidie worked for the Farmers Home Administration for many years. She took great pride in her work and was awarded a trip to Washington D. C. to be honored for the work she did. Lidie lived in Tuscaloosa and Greensboro before returning home to Camden.
In Lidie's later years, TV was her passion, especially Alabama Football. She thought "Mr. Saban" as she called him, was absolutely wonderful. She loved to watch Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Fox News.
The family is deeply thankful and appreciative of the special care givers, Dr. Blackmon and his staff and to Camden Hospital, Southern Care Hospice Care and family and friends who took such wonderful care of her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Camden, Alabama.
