Lee
Heath
May 24, 1946 – May 18, 2026
Mountain Hill Baptist Church
2:00 - 3:00 pm (Central time)
Lee Heath, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. Preceded in death by his mother Esther Baxter, father Thomas Heath, honorary father Truman Harris, his brother and lifelong companion Floyd Heath, as well as five other siblings, Lee’s memory is deeply treasured by all who knew him.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 59 and a half years, Brenda Jo Freeman Heath, along with his daughters Brenda Jinright, Lorri Hill (Tim), Leigh Heath, Jan Gordon (Dewayne), and Heather Bowen (Keith). His family also includes many grandchildren, countless great-grandchildren, and treasured neighborhood grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Lee’s siblings Barbara (Don) Sessions, Mary Heath Bennett, Sue Spivey, and Hiram Driggers, together with his Harris siblings, nieces, nephews, and honorary mother Viola Moreau, all carry his spirit forward. And not to be forgotten is Bruce, his beloved parrot, who was a faithful companion through the years.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Lee had a heart as vast as his welcoming smile—he never met a stranger. His greatest joy was time spent with family, especially doting on his great-grandbabies. Lee found simple pleasures in the magic of old Western movies, the laughter sparked by America’s Funniest Home Videos, and the nurturing peace of tending to his plants and garden.
Friends and family are invited to honor and celebrate Lee’s life at a memorial service to be held at Mountain Hill Baptist Church in Sellers, Alabama on Saturday, May 30, 2026 beginning at 2:00 p.m.. Though he is no longer with us, Lee’s spirit lives on in the hearts he touched and the love he so freely gave.
