Leota LaRae Stephens Heath, 80, died Monday, May 08, 2017 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Anna Stephens and her son, Gary Wayne Heath. She is survived by her husband, Joe E. Heath; son, Michael E. Heath (Valerie); nephew, Steve Harris (Patti); and grandsons Andy and Morgan Heath.
LaRae was a member of Sandy Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Deposit, AL. She was a founding member of the Alabama Chapter of COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors). She traveled often volunteering her time to those families that had suffered the death of a loved one in Law Enforcement.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Watts officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
