Obituary

Kimmie Lynn Lowe, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the age of 60.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Brother William Hendrix officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Kimmie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Erline Lowe; brother, Rickey Lowe; her husband for over 30 years, James Heartsill.

She is survived by her children, Brandon (Savannah) Heartsill, Katrina (Tommy) Cobb, Chad (Robyn) Heartsill, Jamie (Brandon) Cobb, Winston (Katie) Heartsill, husband of 5 years, Dennis Barnes; brother, Joe Lowe; sixteen grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Kimmie was born in 1964 to parents she greatly admired. She had two brothers who she thought more of as her protecters. She married right out of high school to her high school sweetheart, James. To everyone she met from an early age talked of her beauty. Even as time went on, she was considered by those around her as a timeless beauty. They went on to have 5 children and 16 grandchildren, who were the true loves of her life. Taking care of them was her passion. Cooking during the holidays, or just anytime, was an act of love to Kimmie. Her favorite pastime was cooking and dancing to the blues. She also drove the school bus for 20+ years. There she would find even more children to claim as her own.

Kimmie had a strong love for animals and thought of them more like children. She loved her Savior and was quick to share her testimony with anyone who would listen. Family and faith were the cornerstones of her life. Those around her remember her for the love she had for them. Everyone she came in contact with got an "I love you". Her kindness knew no boundaries. Later in life she would go on to remarry her second husband, Dennis. They would spend the next 5 years together enjoying life with the children and grandchildren.

Kimmie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
