Mrs. Joy Snell Casey, age 82, of Greenville, Alabama died at her residence on December 21st, 2024.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 27th, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Zellers and Vergie Mae Zellers; siblings, Thomas Zellers, Joyce Dale, and John Zellers.

She is survived by her sister, Bee Till (Bud); children, Charlotte Beverly and John Marcus Snell (Kim); grandchildren, Erica Wilkerson (Christy), Kelley Rice, John Marcus Jr; five great grandchildren, Austin Page, Ricky Page, Emma Rice, Brendan Rice, and Conner Rice; along with many other beloved family members and friends.

Joy was born and raised in Lyeffion, Alabama. She worked in the Wilcox County Courthouse as Chief Clerk in the probate office, where she ended up retiring. Joy later moved to Greenville and made her home. She was a true southern lady when it came to elegance and class. Anyone who knew her, knew she was the most caring and giving person and a true blessing to be around. She will be loved and missed every minute by friends and family.
