Rogers, John Perry, age 95, went to be with his Lord on December 21, 2011. He is survived by wife of 71 years, Louise McGraw Rogers; daughter and son-in-love, Bill and Alane Rogers Pate; son and daughter-in-love, John and Connie Chance Rogers. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Lawrence Rogers, and sister, Carolee Rogers; grandson, Scott Pate (Tanya) and great-granddaughter, Elana Marie Pate.
Mr. Rogers was predeceased by his parents, Atwood and Dora Rogers; brothers, Oscar Rogers and Aubrey Rogers; sisters, Myrtle Dailey, Etta Coker, Hattie Felts, Merle Helton; granddaughter, Karen Pate; great grandson, Jonathan William Pate.
Mr. Rogers was Deacon Emeritus and oldest male member of Camden Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Camden Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Bob Weber. Pall bearers are: Jimmy Dailey, Ed Davis, Buford Gavin, Rogers Helton, Henry McIntosh, and Fred Sheffield. Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery directed by Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
