John Henry Dailey, a lifelong resident of Camden, AL, passed away on April 4, 2011 at the age of 70. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents: Leo & Myrtle Dailey, Sr.; his grandparents: Atwood & Dora Rogers and Alex D. Dailey Sr. & Leila Burson Dailey, his sisters: Betty Jean Harris & Dora Ann Dailey; his aunts: Merle Helton, Hattie Felts, Etta Coker and Ila Pearl Waren; his uncles: Oscar Rogers, Aubrey Rogers, Houston Dailey, Fred Dailey, Willie Lee Dailey, J. T. Dailey, George L. Dailey and Chester Dailey.
He is survived by his brothers: William (Nora) Dailey of Malcolm, AL, Leo (Cathy) Dailey, Jr. of Prattville, AL; his sisters: Margaret Petrey of Camden, AL, Ellen Scarbrough of Camden, AL, Eula (Bruce) Flowers of Lamison, AL, Frances Dalle (Douglas) Baxter of Foley, AL, his aunts: Carolee Rogers of Camden, , AL, Eva Mae Felts of Mobile, AL, uncles: Perry (Louise) Rogers of Camden, AL, Robert (Fayrene) Rogers of Camden, AL, Alex (Dolly) Dailey, Jr. of Camden, AL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a lot of friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church in Camden, AL. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Yancey officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Camden, AL directing.
Pallbearers will be: Wilfred Dailey, Warren Dailey, Carl McNeece, Craig Dalle, Matt Dolbear, Curtis Scarbrough, Brad Bailey & George G. Dailey. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Enon Baptist Church, his Sunday School Class of Enon Baptist Church, Jerry Coker, Max Coker, Leonard Waren, David Rogers and Benji Gavin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John Henry Dailey to the Enon Baptist church Fund or to the Enon Cemetery Fund.
