John D. Barnes

John D. Barnes, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, passed away at his residence on August 26, 2026, at the age of 58.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Brother Ricky Crysell officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Central Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation will beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby McQueen; brother, Danny Ellis; grandson, Nolan John Clayton.

He is survived by his children, Shelby Barnes (Tyler), John Barnes, Jr. (Amanda); grandchildren, Alex Clayton, Hayden Clayton, Lincoln Barnes; significant other, Kelly McCard; close friend, Sharon Barnes; along with numerous brothers, nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
