John Samuel Andrews, 72, died at his residence November 19, 2014. Mr. Andrews was a graduate of Dothan High School, The University of Alabama, and Cumberland School of Law. After graduating from law school, he moved to Greenville, AL and practiced law. He also served as the District Attorney for the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Alabama from 2001 until 2012. Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his father, James Edwin Andrews and his mother, Johnnie Williford Andrews, both of Dothan, AL. He is survived by his wife, Susan C. Andrews; his brother, Eddie (Rosemary) Andrews of Dothan, AL; his daughter, Cemira (Travis) Powell of Greenville, AL; his son, Jeff (Angie) Andrews of Dothan, AL; his grandchildren, James Andrews, Joseph Price, Megan Andrews, and Clay Powell; his nieces and nephews, Kit Andrews, Nancy D. Mills, Joy D. (Michael) Walker, and Blake (Kim) Andrews. Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the residence of Brandon Sellers. The memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church, Greenville, AL; The Reverend Reid T. McCormick officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
