Joe Michael Harris, a 68-year-old carpenter from Camden, Alabama was born October 28,1954 in Selma, Alabama to Mary Etta Peterson Harris and William Frank Harris II and passed away on Tuesday, December 27,2022 at his home in Camden. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, beginning at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, William Frank Harris II and Mary Etta Peterson Harris. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Nelson (Steve); brothers, Lane Harris (Brenda), Bruce Harris (Kay), and Tony Harris (Tassie); sons, Michael Harris (Jennifer), William Harris (Nicole); daughter, Roxana Harris; grandchildren, Jayden Harris, Hunter Scurlock, Jamal Bell, Saige Harris, Farrah Harris, Liam Harris, Colton Harris, and Sadie Harris; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Joe, JoMama or Papa Joe by those who loved him best knew he loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle but most importantly he adored his grandchildren and the time he got to spend with them. His passion was restoring antebellum homes and working with his hands. He left behind beautiful works of art with his carpentry skills that will be cherished for years to come.
