Powell, Jim H., age 80, a resident of Greenville, AL died on Friday, September 06, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Newton officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Cecil Powell, Hoover Powell, Hazel Minor and step-son, Preston Edmundson. He is survived by his children; Teresa McKinnon (Charlie) of Prattville, AL, Leisa Lutz of Prattville, AL, Allen Powell (Tina) of Greenville, AL, grandchildren, Arin Taylor of Prattville, AL, Cheyenne Lutz of Prattville, AL, and Jarod Powell of Greenville, AL, sisters Myrlean Hitson of Ft. Deposit, AL, Betty Irvin (Ben) of Montgomery, AL, brothers, Monroe Powell (Pearl), Bill Powell (Janice) both of Millbrook, AL, I.V. Powell of Ft. Deposit, AL, and Eligh Hugh Powell (Barbara) of Arkansas; step-son, Robert Edmondson (Nita) of Perdido, AL, step-daughter-in-law, Janet Edmondson of Lake Charles, LA, step-grandchildren, Preston & Danielle Edmundson of Lake Charles, LA, Rebecca Finley of Opp, AL, Billy Touvell and Jennifer Parish both of Lake Charles, AL and many nieces and nephews.
