Jerry Bryan Ryals, Sr., passed away on Friday, May 1st 2026.

He was born in Crenshaw County, Alabama to AJ and Mary Ruth (Brown) Ryals on November 16, 1949. A born and bred country boy, Jerry enjoyed the simple things in life. 

He could often be found in the woods hunting and fishing with his dad and brothers in his early years. He also enjoyed sports and played basketball on his high school varsity team. He married Terri Jo Fulford on November 18, 1968. Shortly after, they started a family and began traveling around the south. Eventually taking them to the Florida panhandle. He found his trade as an electrician, and worked for many years with Ronco Electric in Destin, Florida. He relocated back home to live in Lapine Alabama for his final days. He, still enjoying the simple things, loved little Debbie snack cakes and chocolate milk. 

Jerry is survived by his two daughters, Kellie Jo Ryals-Currington (Johnny) and Tifney Fulford Ryals; grandchildren, Alexzander and Tabatha; nephew and niece, Adam (Mary) and Kacy. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roger Dale and Gary Ray, his eldest child J. Bryon Ryals Jr. and the love of his life Terri Jo.

His wit, humor, and wisdom were unmatched. He will be tremendously missed by his family and those that knew him.
